  • Set speakers levels independently

    Hello,

Is it available that set speaker levels individually ?

At lest front rear speakers in pair would be enough.

In older models I remember it was no problem, but with this board and 2.33 driver I can't do it.

    I installed http://www.pctreiber.net/downloads/Vista_Win7_R233.zip.

(and don't installed ac97 is for this, or for another integrated soundcard?

    http://files5.majorgeeks.com/files/6...Win7_PG537.zip)

    Thanks in advance,
    Pubem

    Re: Set speakers levels independently

You should be able to adjust speaker volume and balance levels using the Realtek Audio Manager Mixer panel. You can adjust the volume and balance levels by moving the vertical or horizontal slider buttons.

The windows Volume Control icon in the task bar provides similar functions.
I'm not familiar with win7, so there might be some differences.

      Hi Prof,

Thanks for the reply, but the problem is that only one slider for speakers.
Separately I can adjust input volumes one by one.

        Re: Set speakers levels independently

Only one slider bar in which application?
With my w2k pro sp4 setup, there is a horizontal slider bar for setting balance and this bar is directly above the vertical sliding bar that sets output levels. This has been the only setup I've seen since win95.

What type of speaker setup are you using? 2.0? 2.1? 4.0? 5.1? 7.1?
**edit** Please post a screen-shot with the Realtek and Win7 speaker adjustment screens.

                  Re: Set speakers levels independently

                  hmm. I'll try that.

Interesting that In 5,1 mode, when it is side speaker, in tha game in functionality works as rear speaker.

I tested it few times, rotating around the sound source:-)

Now I will check it, thanks for the suggestion.

                    Re: Set speakers levels independently

The Realtek 5.1 vs 7.1 configuration seems to be quirky in the way you need to get your 5.1 speakers to work properly. This has been discussed in serveral forum threads.

I suggest testing both setups to see if one setup gives you better spatial quality with 5.1 music files and/or when you are gaming.

You can download true 5.1 music files for free on the web using:
                    5.1 music free download

You might need to download the free AC3Filter codec to play 5.1 music with your media player software.

Let us know how you make out.
