hi all
under the BIOS section for this board, it has 3 of these
"Improve ITE8718 I/O chip compatibility" for F5 F7 and F8 of this BIOS for this board (common BIOS for rev 1.x)
GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-EP45-UD3 (rev. 1.1)
From the motherboard block diagram, i see ITE8718 is responsible for the likes of PS/2, LPT, COM & Floppy ports. I also googled it and it seems to be responsible for hardware monitoring?
My question is, is the "improve ITE8718 compatibility" anything to be concerned about, the fact that three updates are for the same thing? Is it indeed related to hardware monitoring, perhaps relating to adjusting/calibrating temperature readings and such?
Thanks!
