  • Post your O/Clocked Super PI Benchmarks

    Hi all,
As some of us are having fun over clocking our gigabyte boards, i thought a few benchmarks might be interesting to post.
A moderate overclock in my case , but a target for you to reach or pass nevertheless.

You will need the benchmark software , if you dont have it you can get it here: http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/super_pi_mod-1.5.zip
    I just ran a quick 8M bench.

You can post your results in text (the time in min/sec at the end of the super pi window). Use the 8M setting in super pi ,
you can also post what type of cpu and the speed you have clocked it to. Or anything else you think is important.
There is no need to use pictures to prove anything its just for fun.

Below is the result of my 8M benchmark i ran today.

Here are the overclock settings i used for this benchmark.

    Gigabyte EX58-UD4P rev 1.0
    Intel I7 920 C0/C1 step batch 3838B034
    Cooling: Noctua NH-U12P SE1336
    Corsair TX650 psu
    Nvidia GTX 280
    Mem G.Skill or OCZ
    2x WD Caviar Black 500gb Raid 0
    Case Thermaltake Armor VA8000BWS
    Vista 64

    My overclock results.

This is to compare 3.5GHz, just 10 LinX loops stable.

      Great results Chike

I ran another test with the same cpu settings as my test above only this time i upped the memory frequency from 1338 to 1670 mhz and relaxed the timings.
      Interestingly not much difference.

      Gigabyte EX58-UD4P rev 1.0

That's it until I can get better fans. (Probably Noctua) I've heard of 450-460 (base) bus being used 24/7, but will see how temps and stability pan out.

I was just giving you a hard time

This is the only Dice 8MB run I made so far, click to enlarge. Just haven't had the time lately

Now that I know this memory a bit better, once I find the time I will do some 1MB and 8MB runs, then I will surely get better results!

Stock 4.2Ghz run (200x21 Uncore on x18, ram on Extreme), just now. Memory all on Auto. No Time this week, and I am about to update to the F10x series anyway now that my reviews are finished up >>>
