  • EP45-UD3P + Q9550 + G.Skill DDR2 PC2-8500, advice required

    hello,

I have built a system with EP45-UD3P + Q9550 (E0) + G.Skill DDR2 PC2-8500 (F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK). Attempting overclocking after reading this board. Settings below, its stable for about 8hrs on Prime95 (blend), then an error occurs, happened multiple times. I think its something to do with the RAM settings. Anyone have some advice please ?!

    What FFT size fails?

It ran the blend test sucessfully for 8 hrs, then an error occured on one of the cores. Happened about 4-5 times, always at about 8 to 8 1/2 hours of blend.

If it fail in about the same time I'd suspect the specific FFT size not the time.

So which test should I run - small FFT, large FFT or Blend, I thought Blend would give the best indicator of stability in real-world situations ? If it is stable in Blend, it should be stable for most everyday use.....
