    Nice to see you seemed to have found the issue!

    PSU is something you never want to skimp on, glad you seemed to have narrowed it down to this

      Sorry to not be more specific, the board was not made to handle Quad's mine had issues with the Q6600 or rather it would not over clock at all with mine(though they claim there are no guaranties for over clocking with it). They did release a bios up date, but never knew if it fixed the issue.
      Many newer boards have issues with PSU, it is very common with the X58 boards. Not to say the PSU are not good just that certain combo's of boards and PSU seem to be in compatible google it to see.....Same with memory, I had good success with G-skills and that board.

        So I'm lucky my Q6700 works at 3,2 Ghz , but my PSU for now is cheap Chinense LOGIC 500W so i'm looking for smth. better -- are OCZ PSU's good ?

          HardwareSecrets is an excellent site for detailed reviews. While their psu reviews go into excruciating detail that only an electronics geek could love, they give each unit a thorough evaluation and make it easy to determine if it passes muster in all the critical areas.
          This link is to a list of all their psu reviews. After reading their review of the Antec EarthWatts 500, it was a no brainer for me to buy it when I found it on sale last year.
