  • Anyone? over 510fsb quad on air? 45-UD3

I dont want to seem like a broken record/cd but:

Im wondering once again about memory just like 6 months ago.

To make it simple forget about quads etc,

Has anyone got memory 4gb DDR2 (2x2gb) sticks that are happy/working well at 1:1 ratio ie a 2:00 multiplier at above 510 host frequency.

Ideally something like "my ram works at 520mhz+ at less than 2.3V.

Just to be sure The host ref frequency needs to be 520+ mhz too not some" I run my cpu at 4.5 Ghz with a 10x multiplier and 450 host frequency and my memory runs at 1080 Mhz with a 2.4 multiplier".

    probably not?
Ill just wait for q9550/9650 prices to drop a bit more,g skill 9600 memory might do it but right now thats more expensive than my cpu.

Yes, like I told you months ago i think? I have some ram that works at 500+ FSB and 1:1, Mushkin (996580) and Crucial 2.0V Models

Here is Crucial 1000Mhz post in my review 4x1 and 2x2 @ 1000Mhz 500 FSB

Sorry that is not 500+ but only because that was all I did for the review. I did run them at 525 and 545 FSB without issues though.

      Just trying to help.

        Yeh I know Lsd,

It doesnt feel right goin for memory that is rated the same as what I have tho even if they seem to clock v well,at first anyway reliabilty may be an issue if running above the rated speed?
        Customer Reviews OfCrucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT25664AA80A - Retail

Id probably be able to make sure of max cpu speed with these
        Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1200 (PC2 9600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI - Desktop Memory

but they would need to cut the price in half again to be worth it.

As it is with the i3 and i5 cpus coming out soon Q9550 prices may come down to $150 if they dont run out of stock. Then ill be back looking for memory that will get me to 4.5ghz on air

Whats the general opinion on the gigabyte all blue water cooling system?

The Crucial have no stability problems at 1000+ if that is what you meant. Newegg reviews are half posted by noobs anyway, did you link there to show me someone complaining?

Water Cooling kits are not worth it, if you plan to go water build your own kit after researching parts from reading forums with sections on the subject like XS or OCN.Net

Well, I've been runing my A-DATA's @1066MHz with tRD 7 and as low as 1.9V for over 4 months now. Everything is perfectly stable in every day use and also in Prime95 (24hrs), Orthos (24hrs) also LinX and IBT. The highest I took them was 1200MHz with 2.1V and tRD 10 if I remember well. Excelent modules, and they're not even D9 as I thought.
Yeah, I know, I'm running 400MHz FSB right now, but I did a tryal run using 533MHz FSB, the 2.0B strap and a lower multi and all I had to do was increase MCH core to 1.28V I think.
            Here, have a look:

Re: Anyone? over 510fsb quad on air? 45-UD3

most were happy, the complaints were mainly along the lines of I did have em running at 1000+ and they didnt stay reliable.

The stuff I have performs just as well at 1000 but needs higher V and I dont like the look of OCZ stuff that much either the new low voltage blade/platignum dont seem quite as good as the initial"bin" samples and their 9600 blade version seems to be unavailable right now.

Now Gskill are bringing out another "trident" ddr2 memory line,Youd think ddr2 development/sales would be starting to drop off by now.

A "bespoke"/custom built water kit seems to be big$.The Gigabyte one seemed reasonable value just wondered had it been tested couldnt find a review .

edit :ill check em out Morph too thx..had a look at newegg reviews, noobs n all,not really enough replies on the vitesta stuff to tell and then again the crucial does have a 500mhz epp,I suppose Im just thinking if I buy 6400 rated memory and its a bad batch it wont even be as fast as my own :) and I could hardly send em back sayin boo hoo your memory wont overclock by 25%.

Just don't know what they are doing is all. You do, so if you get them cheap then you will enjoy them. Those do 1000 at 2.0V

Not sure about any reviews on water kits, you'd have to google. But I can tell you without spending $$ a kit is just going to give you the same or worse temps then you have now.
