Will be helpful to know your current settings,
Please fill the template below, ignore the values in it, replace them with your own current BIOS settings and post them back, someone will surely be able to assist you.

Rank Write to READ Delay = 3 (AUTO like the rest of it) ,there was no room for that on the full screen.

        Re: X48-ds4/q9550 = 400 fsb

When you change the FSB the DRAM speed will also increase so you will need to set a multiplier of 2 for DDR-800 with 400FSB (2.00D if I am not misteken).

I wouldn't leave any of the memory timings settings on auto, just set them to the values you see on the left for a start.
Static tRead Value may need to be increased too, you can begin with 8, 9 or even 10 just to be on the safe side.

PCI Express Frequency should also not be left on auto, but I don't know if it should be 100 like the EP45/43 motherboards or not.

Your MCH OverVoltage is normal, with 2x2GB modules you may need to increase it, though I don't know this board and what's normal MCH is for it.

If you have not began with optimized defaults it is recommended that you do so, and change them to their current values after optimized default have been saved.

Wait for a more experianced user opinion about the PCI frequesncy and MCH OverVoltage.

On X48 MCH Normal Voltage is 1.2500v
Also you can lock PCI Express Fr. to 100

            Re: X48-ds4/q9550 = 400 fsb

I overclocked without rasing the MCH voltage ,it is stable ,memory is set to 1:1 ratio with fsb.
So here is my question ,before i overclock my cpu i ONLY underclock my memory(667) to see how it is going...first thing i noticed is the welcome screen by VISTA ,this is the first time i saw it ,so that was 1:1 ratio with the fsb. Another thought ,when i set the fsb to 400 i manually set the multiplier to 2.00D i was curious if i will be able to see the welcome screen again ,but it skipped like before when everything was on auto. So i would like to know what should i do ...how to check what timing is suitble for my memory? I want thet WELCOME screen on VISTA :) It's like ,the PC is too fast for vista....

You are very welcome, forget about the screen LOL
Windows XP does it too, sometimes it shows and others it does not. I think that when windows predicts that work it got to do before it can show the desktop, like update settings or whatever, are going to take some time it show the welcome screen, and if it doesn't have updates to do it skip it.

So i have another question ,sometimes i see horizontal lines on the screen in a GAME,no matter what game it is,sometimes they show ,sometimes they don't,they are like a GLITCH,is that a GPU metter or RAM ? or maybe MB or CPU? i don't know...
