Should I install that Roxio garbage over and uninstall it again? I've tried everything any help appreciated.I have the ep45-ud3l gigabyte board.Thks

Re: dvd burner does not install
You hit the nail on the head. Roxio Garbage. Try Reinstalling it or uninstalling it. I have used many roxio products and the way it "takes over" windows is rediculas. One time I has some garbage program of theres on and I could not "Insert Disk 2" of any installations because of some crap roxio error. I just uninstalled everthing roxio, deleted all registry relating to roxio and bang it worked again.
The Easiest thing you could do it simply do a system restore. It should have created a restore point before installing???? Try it. Or google the error. I did and it came up with bucket loads of stuff. Roxio cdr4 cannot be found - Google Search
Also try this "in control panel, programs and features, uninstall all things roxio and
sonic.
After competely uninstall, go to device manager, right click the optical
drive, choose uninstall.
Reboot. On reboot windows will reinstall the default driver"Last edited by NimrodAUS; 07-10-2009, 06:33 PM.Lian Li PC-7F Chassis Black

Re: dvd burner does not install
Thks for reply I have tried alot of those google fixes , many uninstall of the dvd burner in device manager and still comes up with the cdr4 error it looks like I'll have to install roxio again then uninstall it I've tried everything nothing works. The restore point is long gone now, so I'll try the re-install of roxio ThksGigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L Bios F4
