Using Easytune 6 to control fan speed. When set to 30% in the smart section, the RPM is 1900+ and running 100% its 3000+ RPM.

Sorry. I still do not know how to put in 2 pictures in one reply. 100% fanspeed set in Easytune 6 = 3000+ RPM

Did you use the TIM that came with it or shoud I not even think about it? (I do have AS 5 but I'm a saver ya know)

From what I've read on other forums AS5 should perform better than Thermalright TIM. I however didn't try the Thermalright TIM...Originally I thought I was using AS5, but it was actually Arctic Silver II, which is probably most to blame for the unusual high temps I had considering how much my temps dropped after removing it and applying IC Diamond 7. If you have AS5, I would go with that over the thermalright paste.

Ah, don't know how I missed it. Thanks a lot!

Set mine to 25% (which translated to ~1000RPM) when at 40C, which had no adverse affect on idle temperatures. Interestingly, I can take the RPM down to 500 RPM and still have ~40C at idle.

This control actually improved my max RPM closer to 2500RPM and now I am not breaking 75C at load (versus 80C before)!

So you have your temps under control now? If so great to hear it!!

I use and suggest Tuniq TX-2, once you try it you will never go back to anything else. It cools superbly well and cleans off in one swipe! MX-2 is just as good if you can't get TX-2
