  • Recommend 8GB/16GB DDR2 kits for use with EP45-UD3P

I need recommendation for 8GB and 16GB DDR2 800/1000/1066 MHz kits for use with EP45-UD3P motherboard.

If you're using [or have verified information of certain RAM IC's working in these densities] 8GB or 16GB RAM in a EP45-UD3P motherboard please list:
    1] RAM make & model #
    2] Max RAM in your MB & module configuration [2x4GB, 4x2GB, 4x4GB]
3] BIOS configuration changes, if other than default
4] If you have OC'd these RAM, please note BIOS settings as well

    Thank you.

Man, I wish I was smart enough to ask this question before purchasing the components for my first build....

    I'm currently running 4x2gb @844MHz.
I had a heck of a time overclocking my FSB,
and keeping my DRAM at it's rated MHz of 1066.

    memory: OCZ 'Reaper' 4x2gb 1066Mhz (OCZ2RPR10664GK)

You can read about my trials and tribulations here,
    if you care to..

So you never got this resolved from the previous issue? Sorry to hear if so

I do advise 800Mhz kits if you plan to run 8GB or above, as more than that is just asking for issues and the need to use unnecessary voltages.

I have ran 8GB of Crucial and Mushkin, but on a P45-DS4P only.
