Hi everyone. I have two Gigabyte motherboards that are both exibiting the same behavior and I need help.
I have a GA-EP45T-DS3R motherboard and a GA-EP45T-UD3LR and I'm trying to get my LSI MegaRAID 8308 ELP (Legacy Products : MegaRAID SAS 8308ELP : LSI) hardware raid controller to work with either of them in PCIe slot.
The card is a PCIe 4x card and it works fine in a POS ECS GF7100PVT-M3 (ECS Web Site) in the PCIe 16x slot but when I try to plug it into either Gigabyte board the system just continually beeps and reboots.
In the DS3R, I have an ATI 4890 video card in the primary PCIe slot and I plugged the RAID card into the secondary slot. In the UD3LR, I plugged the card into the one PCIe slot and I used an old ATI Mach64 PCI video card for video. Both systems work fine when the RAID card is not installed.
Help!?!
