I have 2 2GB sticks of memory that are PC8500 DDR2 memory, but the memory speed is picked up by utilities as PC6400. Below is info from SiSoftSandra. CPU-Z displays the same summary on memory speed.
Speed : PC2-6400U DDR2-400
Standard Timings : 5.0-5-5-18 3-23-6-3
Version : 1.2
Date of Manufacture : Thursday, May 14, 2009
Memory DC Line : 1.80V
Set Timing @ 400MHz : 5.0-5-5-18 3-23-6-3
Set Timing @ 267MHz : 4.0-3-3-12 2-15-4-2
Enhanced Performance Profiles : Yes
Profile @ 533MHz: Optimal : 5-5-5-15 X-22-32-X 2T 2.1V
Memory Module 2 etc...
Does something have to be set to tell the MOBO that I am running PC8500 memory? I have not changed any settings in BIOS related to speed/oc/timing.
Thanks for any help.
