Help trying to overclock an E7200/GA-P35-S3G

I went through the BIOS tweak guide that is stickied. Changed all my BIOS settings per the guide (no OC). When I reboot I get a read disc error, I changed back all the settings that I could think of that might have to do with my HDD with the same results. I had to "load fail safe settings" to boot.

Could someone please hold my hand through this, this is my first time attempting to OC anything.

You need to load OPTIMIZED bios settings before you continue.
Follow the initial suggestions in this post and follow steps #1 - #3.

Verify that your system is stable by running Prime95, OCCT, or Orthos for 4 - 8 hours minimum.
If your system is stable (no errors), we'll help you overclock your system.
What are your o/c goals? gaming? encoding? intensive photo processing?
