can you run 4x2gb ddr1066 on a ma790gp mb. If so how? I have tried and the only way to have it run stable is by downclocking it to 800. Any way around this?

8GB at 1066Mhz on any board is no simple task. That looks to be budget ram to begin with, so you may not have any luck in running it at 1066 with 8GB without high voltages.
What is the model # of that ram anyway? Does your CPU Support 1066 ram? Sorry, I have limited AMD KnowledgeComment
