After reading the comparison of Gigabyte and Asus power management techniques on X58 boards during overclocking over at X-bit labs (Asus P6T: The Junior LGA1366 Mainboard with Senior Functionality - X-bit labs), I am very interested in overclocking at "NORMAL" voltage settings. I think with "AUTO" voltage settings the board guesses the stable voltage and locks it in. "NORMAL" ensures all power saving techniques function as intended.
Anyone else doing this to keep power low? Post your stock voltage overclocks please!
I am still waiting on my TRUE to get here so I can start doing this :) I will post as soon as I can.
