    Can't seem to overclock to 4ghz :(

I can run at 3.8ghz with HT on with no problems, very stable..

    Base Clock(BCLK) Control - 200

    Intel Turbo Boost - Disabled
    Cpu Cores Enabled - All
    CPU Multi-Threading - Enabled
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) - Disabled
    C3/C6/C7 State Support - Disabled
    CPU Thermal Monitor - Enabled
    CPU EIST Function - Disabled
    Virtualization Technology - Enabled
    Bi-Directional Prochot - Enabled

    QPI Link Speed - x36
    QPI Link Speed - 7.2Ghz
    Uncore Frequency - x16
    Uncore Frequency - 3200Mhz
    Isochronous Support - Enabled

    Performance Enhance - Turbo
Extreme Memory Profile - Profile 1
    System Memory Multiplier - 8.0
    Memory Frequency (Mhz) - 1600
    DRAM Timing Selectable - Expert

    Ram is set 8-8-8-24-1 [auto]
    Profile DDR Voltage - 1.65V
    Profile DDR QPI - 1.4v

    Load-Line Calibration - Enabled
    CPU Vcore - 1.31250v
    QPI/VTT Voltage- 1.240
    IOH Core - 1.120
    DRAM Voltage - 1.660
    CPU PLL - 1.880
    Others - Auto
I tried 20x200 then Raise CPU Vcore to 1.4, and QPI/VTT to 1.4 so i could boot, but still always BSOD. I think my bios settings are correct.. please help

Note -> This is my 2nd Core i7 920, still can't get it to 4ghz.. zz

    Specs:

    Intel Core i7 920
    Gigabyte X58 Extreme (F7C)
    6GB 3x2 OCZ DDR3 12800
    GTX 295
    Gigabyte Odin 800 Power Supply

Do you actually get a BSOD? Your machine posts and attempts to load windows?

Raise your ram volts to 1.68 or 1.7, the value listed in bios is not what it actually pushes. Try raising your uncore to x17. I'd loosen your timings a little to something like 9-9-9-28 and turn off that Performance Enhance thing, put it at standard.

Sounds like not enough vcore, for most processors you'll reach a point where you need a huge jump in voltage to increase in mhz. Easiest thing to do is bump it up to 1.5 see if it boots into windows then start dropping it until it can't boot into windows once you hit the point it wont boot windows bump it up a couple notches and then run some stability program, I use intel burntest and keep raising one notch at a time until its stable.

If it doesn't boot into windows even with 1.5 vcore try doing the same thing with qpi vtt start at 1.5 and work your way down.

If that doesn't work either bump up your cpu pll to 1.96 and start working your way down.

This is the fastest and easiest way to overclock.

thanks for the suggestion guys, i will try it later..

few hours ago i tried bumping the uncore frequency to 17x, still bsod
I tried 6x multiplier for ram and changing uncore frequency to 12x still bsod.
also everytime i try to disable multithreading my computer keeps turning on and off..
