  • Memory hole on GA-MA790GP-UD4H

    Hi guys...
I'm absolutely possitive that this has been asked before, but I didn't manage to find it even with the search function!
My mobo only detects 3.5GB of RAM even on BIOS... now I know I'm supposed to find this memory hole option to enable the full 4GB+ (my last ASUS mobo needed this as well...), but I can't find the option on the BIOS!
CTRL+F1 and everything, I just cant see it....

The stupid question of the week probablly, but I've spent some time looking and cant find it

What do you have your UMA Frame Buffer Size set to? There is no option like you mention in your BIOS, you are correct about that.

What amount do you see in windows in the Task Manager for Physical Memory? What GFX Card are you using?

      Hi!
      Thanks for the response.
      I'm using a 4850 512MB, and integrated off.

You just answered my question though. When I initially installed everything, I did not install the video card. Those missing 512MB were from the UMA. Those missing 512MB *magically* appeared when I installde the video card and disabled the integrated video.

      Duh...

      Thanks!
