  • Help on how to OC new EP45-UD3P & Q9450

I had my Q9450 on my DFI Blood Iron board and never could OC higher than 3.2ghz. Seemed like the ram was a problem. So I finally bought a new board, the EP45-UD3P last week. I tried the easytuner to see how that works and was able to get the quick boost setting to 3.6ghz but windows would randomly black screen and reset. So right now its at 3.44ghz. I figured just as well buy some new ram which I just received. OCZ Reaper PC8500 2x2GB 5-5-5 2.2v.

I never really understood how to OC these chips and was curious if anyone can guide me in the right direction to change my BIOS settings instead of using Easytuner. Not looking for the theory of the guides so much as to getting me started in what settings need to change for a Q9450 to make it stable higher than 3.44ghz.

Re: Help on how to OC new EP45-UD3P & Q9450

all overclocking should be done manually in the BIOS. Voltages left in Auto will be overvolted when overclocking if left in auto (Using Easytune or Manually in the BIOS), so please do set them yourself

    Try this for 3.6 >>>

    Code:
