  • EP45-UD3P Highest FSB with E7200?

For those with E7200 (or any E7x00), what's the highest FSB you've been able to get with your EP45-UD3P?

I'm doing 415Mhz x 8 on my E7200 @ stock 1.1625v. If I lower the multiplier and take the FSB higher, I start getting S3 resume issues.

My E7200 doesn't like high FSBs either I can't go much above 400 MHz on the P45 DS3L, I haven't tried it on my UD3P though yet. I think the E7x00 just don't clock as high as E8x00 CPUs.

Re: EP45-UD3P Highest FSB with E7200?

I used to think these Intel C2D CPUs could take as high an FSB as a motherboard/chipset would allow as long as it doesn't exceed its maximum speed. For example, if an E7200 can do 333x9.5=3.16Ghz, it should be able to do 500x6=3.0Ghz without a problem.

But then I see all of these reports of high FSBs with E8x00 chips and pretty much none with E7x00 chips on the UD3P. So I'm not sure now if it's the E7200 CPU itself or if it's just that these boards aren't capable of high FSBs with the E7200.

Have a look at this thread, there might be some ud3 in it,and no im not advocating the pad mod to make it into a "8500"

I've had mine to 3.6 with 9X400 and 8X450, both prime and IBT stable, but I've changed to 6400 ram and running 9X400, haven't had much time to play lately. Hit 3.8 with 9.5X400.

            old thread link at EP45-DS3L - E7200 - PC-8500 (Overclocking help!) - TweakTown Forums

Your E7200 might be mile vary hit 3.6-4.0 with good aftermarket HSF.

            Mine was 9.5x333, 9.5x400, 7.5x500, 7x510 and 8x480 etc...

I just sold E7200 for 80 bucks, looking for upgrade to 8x00 or Quad cpu.

use Strap 333, not 400 will not let me higher fsb for 7.5x500, I am not sure if I did change to 7x503 last time it was boot into windows then crashes and frozen.

mine was best stable at 3.8 soild, try 3.9-4.0 is unstable.

*Reminder* E7200 users, E7200 is no longer sells anymore but still few left in stock, New E7300 is same as E7200 ? I am not sure about it with 7x00 lines anymore.
