  • GAS-EP45C-DS3R Post Issues.

Hello .. Recently i gotten a new rig . and it has some issues.
when it has been turned off like over the night. and i turn it on. fans and leds turns on. and then after a few secs. it shuts down.. and starts again . and this keeps on looping until i cut power. then maybe next start it will post and go juuust before booting os. and stops. now i have to press reset, then it will start just fine.

where shall i start .. i have default bios settings. Latest F5 i think.
The rig is as stated in my profile..

    E8600 3,3Ghz
    On a GS-EP45C-DS3R
    OCZ-8500 Reaper HTC 5-5-5-18 2,1v
    Gigabyte GTX-285 1GB PhysX Cuda

    Corsair 750W + Aopen 450W

    adding this. anything more..?
would be nice if my new rig would be as smooth as my old.

Can you please give me a link to your ram so I can check warrantied voltages.

Then please give me your BIOS settings that you are using and I will advise back >>>

Are you using Vista? Just checking...

Do you mean YOU Shut off your PC overnight, or the PC ITSELF Shuts off overnight, then you turn it on and have the issues?

              Re: GAS-EP45C-DS3R Post Issues.

Looks good, if you still find you have issue post your final full settings that you manually set that fail and I will advise back. Once you get stable I will let you know which things you can lower in what order timing wise for your memory that is as you should not have to run them that loose

Ohh ya, that 1Hz beep is generally a memory timing. I often see it when tRD(Static tRead) is set to low for the Strap/multi and or voltages in use

                Re: GAS-EP45C-DS3R Post Issues.

i have been testing and now the rig starts every time.. :D
playing sims2 or someting may generate a total lockup.. i dunno .

no temp issues.. . . according to bios probes.
perhaps some weird stuff.. im pondering exchanging my ramsticks for some Corsair dominator. or if i can get a good suggestion...

                Regards Ola.

                  Re: GAS-EP45C-DS3R Post Issues.

I have the same motherboard and i had the same problem... In my case ram voltage was causing trouble. I have 2 sets of CM2X1024-8500C5D modules. Original voltage is 2.1V but motherboard set it as 1.8. Mostly strange is that i had to set it to 2.2V, since then i had have no problems.
