GA-EX58-UD5 and F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ

Hi All,

Planning to buy GA-EX58-UD5 with g.skill F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ. I want to put 12 gigs ram in there, max out all the slots. Since it is a 1600 memory, I been reading some place there might be a problem with 12 gig and 1600 memory. Can anyone please confirm?

For sure I want 12 gigs, so if 1600 for sure has problem, then I go 1333 which in that case would be F3-10666CL9T-6GBNQ.

I been searching endlessly and I haven't found anything.

I have seen many users run 12GB @ 1600 1T without much issues so you should be fine

Of course Auto settings is not likely to work, so you will have to do some tweaking likely

I seen the 12 gigs before, basically concern was the particular motherboard and ram combination.

I am glad I can go and finally finish the build

Ahh I thought you just wondered about 12GB @ 1600 from the way you worded it. Ya, I see users using this kit. Here is a Review Site review of that ram, and they used it in 3 GA X58 boards >>>
