# OCZ part number:-OCZ3RPR13332G
# Module size and kit size:-4gb 2x2gb kit
# CPU model and rated speed:-Q9550 2.8GHz
# Overclocked CPU speed:-3.4GHz
# Motherboard and revision:-EP45T-EXTREME # Motherboard Bios rev:-F4
# Video card:-Radeon 4850
# Power supply:-Seasonic 620W
# Operating System:-XP Pro sp3
# CPU and System Cooling: Scythe Ninja # CPU and System temps:-38-40 degrees
I have just built my new PC & having little trouble with it. When I OC my CPU to 3.4Ghz (8.5multiplier X 400 CPU frequency) it automatically sets FSB RAM ratio to 5:8 i.e motherboard bus at 1600Mhz & DRAM frequency at 1280Mhz. System boots into XP fine & is tested stable with prime95.
I would like to be able to run my setup with a 1:1 ratio but i'm not able to achieve this. Using the same RAM & CPU I was able to do this with my previous Asus P5E3 motherboard before it died & i replaced it with the Gigabyte EP45T-EXTREME.
I can do manual settings & set System Memory Multiplier to 3.33D which than allows me to run the memory at 1333Mhz which is a little better. But when i set it to 4.00D to get 1600MHZ the PC fails to boot to bios. I have increased the DRAM voltage from standard to 1.8V & relaxed all standard timings to really low levels but it still has not helped to start up the PC. Also i disabled all CPU features that hinder the overclocking.
I believe this is a problem due to my lack of overclocking experience with the new motherboard or possibly an issue with the bios. Someone please advise on how i can get my memory working at 1:1 again with this motherboard. For me the Quad Q9550 running at 3.4Ghz @ 1:1 24/7 is the sweet spot.
Please help
