Ex58-UD3R Northbridge Fan Header Question

Hello,

Has anyone tried connecting a regular 12v 120mm case fan to this header? I want to add a side fan and this would be the perfect place to connect it.
The manual shows it as 12v and ground, I just didn't want to chance messing something up.

You can safely connect the fan, it's supposed to be 12V and ground^^ The third wire is for transmitting the fan's RPMs.

Yeap, you can use any fan. The NB Header will not report Fan speeds though, so do not expect it
