4 pin cpu power psu on 8 pin motherboard

I have a 4 pin cpu power connector on my psu and my Gigabyte EP45 UD3R is 8 pin cpu. Will this be a problem? I have ran it and its booted fine, but i had to RMA my board do to a IDE connector not working. i get my new one tomorrow. I have a Antec TPII 550W

You will be fine, but overclocking to high speeds may become unstable easily
