    Hey Lsdmeasap, sorry to hear about your situation with the storms up there!!

    Yes, i have tried increasing the MCH voltage and Performance Enhance on standard, still, i can load windows without any problems right after it fails to pass the POST Screen on Cold Boot and restarts itself.

    I will go ahead and download the software you gave me and and give you the info you requested about the tRD tonight.

    Also, I have read from newegg costumers that bough the RAM that I have on the comments and they did talk about the tRC that must be set to 30, How can i set that up on this board or make sure its set correctly?

        I just noticed something really interesting.

        I went into the "Intergrated periperals" and disabled the "USB Legacy" option and the Cold Boot problem disapeared!!! i dont know if it has any connection with the RAM issue not passing the Test on the POST Screen...

        This presents a big problem because i do need to be able to boot from USB devices, is there any work around on this?? please help!!!!

          Problem solved,

          It was never the RAM, it was the darn "USB Legacy" option being enabled with my External harddrive connected that was not allowing me to pass the POST Screen.

          Since i do need USB Legacy enabled, the only solution for me was to install a USB 2.0 PCI card into the mainboard and connect External HDD on to it, that will isolate it from being detected on the POST Screen.

          Thanks to everyone who has been trying to help. now i can concentrate on tweaking the board to overclock to 3.5GHz of which i may still need some help!

            Nice to see you found that as the issue! That is why I always have it set to disabled in my Templates as it often causes issues by itself or with a device connected

            About your tRC, it looks to me to be set automatically to be 30 at 1066 so you should be fine on that luckily. Otherwise the only way you would be able to change it would be on another board you would have to flash the SPD chip on your Ram.

            Legacy USB Does not need to be enabled, only if you need a device in DOS or USB for qflash (Which you could just enable for the flash). It only disabled devices from being picked up at bootup time, they will work normally once windows loads.

            Hope that got to you in time before you spent your $$ if you did not need to.

            Looks to me like you can manually set your tRD as it is pretty high in auto. MCH Skew, can be set to Zero as well.

            If you want some advised ranges for the rest let me know.

              Yeah, i do need USB Legacy to be enabled, i'm using the EFix USB dongle to boot up multiple OSs inclunding OS X Leopard, so using my USB 2.0 PCI card that i had helped with my external harddrive to be isolated from the POST Screen.

              I got to say, this machine is flying!!!!, super fast!!!! but i build this machine with one porpuse, to Overclock the hell out of it as much as i can, so i would really appreciate your help on that one, my goal is to go max to 3.5GHz if possible, what changes would you recommend to make on my bios for that porpuse?
