  • UD3P fan header spec, max power, also smart fan issue

Just wondering as I looked through the manual and wondering what the max power draw the CPU fan header can support safely??

I'm getting Hi-Po fan so just curious if I have to run it off my fan controller. If there is any doubt I will anyway.

Also instead of posting another thread. Just recently my "Smart Fan" control has become a nuisance. If I change anything and I mean anything in bios it turns the fan control to disabled. So I have to go in and make sure its set to enable, Maybe I should just leave it on auto have to check?

Anyway its strange and I'm not sure if it started since I started using a Voltage regulation of the fan or what? I had my computer off all day today, i went to boot and it was off, after I change it it works till the next reboot or I change something in bios.

I called tech and they didnt sound like they knew much, had to go look at the blueprint and ask someone. Then came back and told me max is 10a, which is not right I believe its 10w which would be .8333a

I'm still having this smart fan issue that seemed to come out of nowhere. I enable it, then reboot and go back into bios and its set to disable. I enable it again and it stays on. If I turn my computer off then back on it is set to disable.
