I'm sorry, what do you mean by 'wrong series', not for the Z87X? The driver seemed to work, so this should be fine? While since the firmware didn't because it's for a different set?

I cannot run the Mei 8.1.40 firmware, it gives me this error: Error 8193: Intel (R) ME Interface : Cannot locate ME device driver

When upgrading the bios, the latest firmware remains or you have to upgrade it once again?
