  • AUX temp sensor on GA-EP45-DS4P

I am using sensorview pro for temp monitoring (30 day trial period) and while stress testing I see the AUX temp being reported as 53C

anyone have any idea what this sensor is monitoring ?

    thanks

I don't know Sensorview, but AUX often is the Northbridge temp, in which case you're fine. Chipsets are allowed to get hotter than CPUs, close to 100C are usually no problem for them.

        No problem :)

What do you mean by "wasnt sure how the parameters went ??

I dont know how many sensors this board has ....... what components are monitored by sensors and what are the thresholds of these components?

The board itself usually has two sensors, one for the northbridge and one for the monitoring chip itself, but that temperature is meaningless, since it doens't matter how hot it gets. The chip is also often located in places like right next to the video card where it will get very hot.
Northbrige is allowed to get hotter than the CPU, don't worry even if it's at 80C as long as the system is stable.
