  • Two Questions (temps for E8400 and gskill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ)

First of all are these temps a little high for my E8400? I have an aftermarket cooling fan from ZeroTherm (read the specs at bottom of my post). The temps drop pretty quick after im done gaming. The first set is when my computer is idle and the second is while I was playing Crysis.

    While computer is Idle:
    Code:
    Sensor Properties
Sensor Type ITE IT8718F + DES (ISA 290h)
    GPU Sensor Type Diode (NV-Diode)

    Chassis Intrusion Detected Yes

Second Q: Now I got G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ RAM. They are being read as DDR2-800 instead of DDR2-1000. What would I need to change in BIOS to get these buggers reading right? I have not altered anything in the BIOS, so everything is default settings.

Here are pics I took of my BIOS:

    My PC Specs are:

What program do you use to get the CPU temp? Seems like a abd program to me, try Coretemp, everything below 70C is fine.

Change the "system memory multiplier" in BIOS, I think 2.4B should get you to 1000 RAM speed. But you won't notice any speed differences ebtween 800 and 1000 RAM anyway, 1000 is only needed for overclocking when the CPU will not work with slower memory anymore.
