  • good advice to a newbie

    Hello.

Great forum this is and forgive me if my english
    isn't too good.
I'm about to build my first pc with a GA-P35-S3G
mobo and E8400 cpu. Is there something i should
be aware/ alert to when installing cpu/heatsink ?

Any good advice from you s3g owners would be
    very nice!

Maybe i'll return with more questions when starting
    the project :)

    Thanks.

    Jango.

Make sure the CPU is clean, use a lint free cloth for cleaning glasses and high-purity isopropyl alcohol (available at pharmacies) to clean the CPU if you want to do it perfectly.
If you use the Intel boxed cooler play around with the push pins that connect it to the board for a bit and install the cooler with the motherboard outsided the case. Check whether the black parts go all the way through at the back of the motherboard.
