  • using 100% CPU

Have a GA-EP45-UD3R with 4 gig memory and an IntelQ6600 Quad CPU

Was converting a video file with AVS Video converter and noticed I am running 97-100% of CPU acording to windows task manager processes Was wondering if this is normal? I know video encoding takes a lot of Cpu.

I read you should be able to do about 10 things at once with this CPU.

Are there any tests I can do?

Maybe I have the bios setup wrong?

    Thanks,

    Leon

      Re: using 100% CPU

100% CPU is normal for video conversion. The quad cores just crunch through it faster. :)
