  • S-Series GA-EP45-DS5 Motherboard problem

I just bought a GA-EP45-DS5 Motherboard and put it together in my computer, but when I got the computer starting the screen wont show anything meaning the graphic card is not connecting correctly to the PCI slot. I have a nVidia 8800 GTS graphic card, i tried putting in my 6600 and still the monitor would not work. I've done these things a quite a few times before (setting together a computer) but this problem just goes behond me. I have everything else connected correctly (as far as i know of) and the GPU just wont work! Yes I put the cable in from the PSU into the 8800 if u were wondering.

I might be missing something since I had a 2005 model motherboard before this one, any ideas?

    And, yes I RTFM :P

      plus the new MB.
I could suggest to test the new mounting with a more powerful PSU, if possible, with one 12v single

Yea but it had the same problem with a GeForce 6600, making me thing it wasn't the PSU... Plus I doublt the computer would start up with everything but the graphic card? Wouln't it cut off the power if it was too much stress for the PSU?

I dropped of the computer at the Tech store where i bought the motherboard from, so its all up to them now :) I was also told that the 8pin connector near the CPU was ment to be plugged in from the PSU, something i did not know since that was new to me. Shame i cant test it tho since I dont have my PC anymore :P

So, my guess was half correct, was something related to the PSU.
But do not be worried about, everyone already did that someday somewhere, including myself...

              Good luck.
