  • Acronis Boot with Flash Drive?

I realize this might not be the best place to post this question, but I figure somebody here will have come across this issue.

I have a GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard and SATA devices throughout (3 hard drives and 1 SATA DVD optical drive). Everything is attached to the ICH10 controller in IDE mode (no AHCI or RAID). I can boot Acronis 2009 from CD (rescue media) with no problems, and it even handles all my SATA devices. However, I cannot get my Sandisk Cruzer 512MB flash drive to boot Acronis. Anyone else have this problem?

Acronis support tells me to try a different USB drive, but no dice. Do I need a smaller capacity flash drive? I'm using the built-in Acronis feature to create the bootable rescue media - USB flash drive option.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Anyone have any suggestions, or should I post this elsewhere?
