    Re: Ga- EP45-UD3P graphic Card?

Its up to you but the 4850 is on par with the 9800GTX(surpassing it at higher resolutions), but cheaper. It comes to a couple things:

    The 4850 runs hotter IMO

Nvidia has Cuda which is much more functional/supported which will help for folding/ect..

        Re: Ga- EP45-UD3P graphic Card?

Well I bought a 4850 after owning a 9800GT(OC'd) for a month, lol. So that gets my vote. If your into gaming at 1680x1050 then the 4850 is the way to go for sure. Just get the cheapest one you can that is not the reference cooler(not even sure they are selling those anymore much). If you do get the ATI, be sure to use ATT(ati tray tool as its awesome!!, no need for catalyst control center). Also if you use it in Vista 64 you need the latest beta version, which is version 1.6.9.1374 and right click and run as admin when installing otherwise it wont work at startup b/c of windows driver signing issues.

If you have a higher resolution then a 4850 is ok(still the best bang for the buck), but a GTX 260/216 core is prob better but costs much more

Yes I am happy with Vista 64 bit, currently I am dual booting with XP SP3 on my raid 0 array and works great. Vista 64 now runs most all XP 32 programs w/o issues. Also while dual booting I can use my 1TB storage HD in XP w/o issues of the 32bit HD issue. I got an OEM version for $60 shipped to try and like it, other than the driver signing issues(cant use some free programs that dont have a signed $$$ driver w/o a workaround).

            Re: Ga- EP45-UD3P graphic Card?

Dont get eh Asus TOP 4850 unless you plan on getting an aftermarket heatsink with VRM heatsinks. This is the card i have and it ran HOT!! and should have a VRM heatsink installed but doesnt,. Most all others come with VRM heatsinks.

I put an Acclero S1 rev2 on mine and could not be happier.

Look on newegg, and if you have not already sign up for the "E-mail promotions" this will give you the best deals. Newegg changes pricing alot so in a period of 2 weeks you can save $20 or so on similar cards.

Currently the Sapphire 4850 is a great deal from newegg. Its $145 w/ free shipping and if you sign up for the email thing, you can use promo code" EMCABCHAH" to get $20 off instantly which puts it at $110 shipped after rebate. Here is the card

Here is a review of the card
Note that that one was not a good OC'er, and i dont think These are the best OC'ing 4850's compared to others either.

B/C of this, if you plan to OC your card, then maybe pressing your luck and getting a cheaper 4830 with a good stock heatsink and hoping to OC higher than 700mhz would be an OK gamble as it does fine at 1680x1050 also.

            So maybe this Sapphire 4830

            Review here

            Or the Powercolor 4830

            Review here

Id depends alot on what resolution monitor you have, if its 1680X1050 this is a great card for the money. If higher a GTX 260 core 216 is better, if lower a 9800 GTX is prob better although not needed.

It also depends on the games you play as some favor Nvidia and others ATI

Personally if I had to do it over I prob would go with the 4830, prob the Sapphire since its cheap and has 2x DVI ports. I'm of the thought that you Will have to upgrade video cards every so often(same with most all computer parts, lol) so getting a ~$100 card every 2 years or so goes a long way currently. So I'll save the $100 now and get a different $100 card in 2 years that will beat a $200+ card that I would buy today.

                Re: Ga- EP45-UD3P graphic Card?

Okay your are from Malaysia, please check pricing on the 4850's. Find the cheapest one, and try to find reviews on it. Here is a good place to look

Overclockers Club Review - Overclockers Club

Here is a review on the MSI one

Again that looks like a good one depending on the price. Like I said I would look to the cheapest one with a big fan as they are all good but run hot.

here is a comparison of 9800GTX+ Vs. 4850

The GTX+ may be a more featured card as far as Cuda/PhsX so it depends on the price difference as to what is better for your $$

Also the 4850 does better with AA/AF than the GTX+, with it off the GTX+ does better.
