Dual Memory channel activation

Dear forum members

I am using Gigabyte "GA-M61PM-S2" motherboard(Bios F4) with AMD Athlon 3800+ processor and 2 x 1 gb transend RAMs. My problem is my motherboard display total RAM of 2 gb but the 'Dual Channel' is not activated.

I am quiet a newbie to harware concepts. Can somebody help me with snapshots on how to activate dual channel on my hardware.

As per motherboard Manual:
If two memory modules are to be used to achieve Dual Channel mode, we recommend
installing them in DDRII_1 and DDRII_2 DIMM sockets.(yellow color)
Btw,
latest BIOS for your board is F9c

Thanks for your reply, I tried all slot combos for the RAMs with no success, do I need to change some settings from bios to activate Dual channel, or just 'loading optimised defaults' itself activates the Dual
channel
