  • New Gigabyte Bios for GA-MA790GP-DS4H?

Will there be any sort of a new Bios update for this motherboard soon that'll increase the performance of the Phenom II 940 BE?

Since the Phenom II hasn't been out long, I'd assume it's not running at its full potential due to bios, like graphics card don't run there best until new drivers.

      I already have that.

I'm meaning one in the future, which will make it better lol.. Kind of like a graphics card driver.

F3 was rushed out by all accounts. Gigabyte have messed around with various flavours of F3 Betas for some time - F3H was OK, F3O is a sad joke. I mean really sad...
F3 is the official DENEB BIOS, but still lacks C1E support, has hideous SYS FAN control and no RAM gang options. Plus the performance is about 4% behind MSI's DKA790GX range which has far more BIOS maturity.

On top of that, Gigabyte claimed F2 BIOS supported DENEB back in November (click on the big bold AM3 support banner). But it most certainly did not. So Gigabyte weren't being truthful. Nice.

Most folk reckon Gigabyte have been readying the UD ranges so have put earlier boards on the backburner.

Considering this is a fairly pricey board....
