  • something new happening

Hello was wondering if someone might give me an idea where to look or what might be going on.

    have a ga-ep45-ud3r don't think it makes a difference

but computer has been running fine for about 2 months now over the last 2 days it has just rebooted no blue screen it has done this 2 time each day over an 8 hr period

could this be a virus (have run every virus check can find nothing) or maybe a hardware problem or software

Appreciate any help am running XP home sp2

    Thanks,

Perhaps the PSU's overvoltage protection is kicking in. My Antec 480 watt would reboot my P4 2,4 GHZ randomly, because of their poor fuhjyyu caps they use/used. After i bought a Seasonic, it all stopped, and i still use the very same Seasonic in my new Core 2 duo build.

make sure you reapply fresh thermal paste after you clean old paste out from cpu and heatsink.

Thanks for all the help I am pretty sure I found the problem its a virus it puts multiple IEXPLORER.exe

in the processes, computer acts crazy reboots for no reason, hit one web site and goes to another all kinds of strange stuff running virus checker but it misses this you delete 3 IEXPLORER's and they come back when you reboot computer not even on the internet

checked temps cpu and system temps 29-34 degrees C

appreciate all the help nice of you all to take the time to help there are programs that take this out or I have clean backups

            all the best,

            Leon
