Hello,
I am not sure if I crossed over to the dark or light side. :) I have been a long time 10+ year Asus fan. My friend had me switch over recently to Gigabyte. Specs follow.

SABRENT CRW-UINB 68-in-1 USB 2.0 Internal Card Reader w/ USB 2.0 Port supports SDHC/VISTA
The issues I am experiencing with the GA-EP45-UD3P and Bios F6:
1. I am running dual boot Vista 64 / XP Pro 32. I boot into XP all good. I REBOOT from XP into Vista 64 and for the life of me I can't get the network to work, either port 1 or 2. I uninstall drivers, reinstall, disable, re-enable, turn off ports in bios turn on, turn off wake on lan in XP and Vista, turned on wake on lan.
WORK AROUND - Ok I have a work around but what a pain in the @rss to do. When rebooting from XP into Vista 64 I unplug the power cable and immediately push the computer case power button to clear the power from the board. Lights flash and go off so there is no longer any power other than the cmos battery. I then turn on the box and the network port works. I am connected to the network. Is this a bios issue?
Side note: I can boot/reboot from Vista 64 all day long and have my network work. Also I can boot from Vista to XP and the network is all good.
2. This might not be an issue with the board but I plugged in the card reader (SABRENT CRW-UINB 68-in-1 USB 2.0 Internal Card Reader) and they have a constant red light that is on even when the computer is powered down. Is there a setting in the Bios to turn off everything when I shut down the computer even the USB ports. I noticed that there is still a charge in the USB ports when the machine is off.
3. Just a rant- C'mon motherboard manufacturers, make ALL fan connectors on the motherboard controllable by software. Tried speedfan with no luck. There is no reason to have my PC sound like an airport. I picked up Zalman ZM-MFC2 and am playing around with it for now. Watching temps closely.
