  • EP45 DS3, E8400, Mushkin 996587 OC

    Hi,

    I have a EP45-DS3, E8400 and a set of Mushkin 996587.

    Right now im at
    CPU: 410x8 = 3.28GHz
    Ram: 333 strap and 2.4 multiplier = 984MHz
Performance Enhance: Extreme, all other settings on Auto.

Im getting Everest Read speeds of 8400mb/s. Does that mean i am close to PC8500 performance on my PC6400 ram?

Should i leave these on Auto, or will i get better performance by setting timings manually?

Yes, that would be a correct assumption about your speeds.

And yes, if you set things manually and get performance enhance on standard you will have better results.

I have these same sticks under review/testing right now so I can for sure help you if you need some help. Let me know

      Great!

First off i would like to say that i would like to try keeping the E8400 on stock volts, because EIST and C1E doesn't seem to work whenever i set the CPU voltage other than stock, and i don't game 24/7 so thats a waste of the power if i disable those features.

Is there any way for C1E to work at voltages above stock??

If not, I would like to find the max stable CPU OC on stock volts. The current settings are stable but going forward even 1mhz on the FSB to 411 would cause Prime95 rounding errors. Have i reached my CPU limit on stock volts?

Below are my current settings and these are Prime95 stable.
