  • Best performance in bios for EP45-UD3R

    Here is my system:
    EP45-UD3R
    E8400
    9800GT
    4GB OCZ 1066 DDR2

This is my second build since 2001, so I am wayyy out of loop for what setting I should set in bios for the best performance. I have adequate power and cooling. (CPU @ 22C idle) (MB @ 35C Idle) (GPU @ 45 idle) also would like to O/C my CPU to 3.5-4.0...whichever is stable for this system.

Re: Best performance in bios for EP45-UD3R

Sorry, but man I am super busy.. Three pages behind in posts tonight!

Have you used search or had a look around? Not trying to blow you off at all or not help you, I am just very behind due to I had to leave last night to get a Water Block installed

Please do link your ram, and I will help ya very soon if you cannot find any answers that you like already posted (Later tonight or tomorrow afternoon) for sure.

Here is a General 4Ghz template, I did make a note for you on some things due to 1066 ram >>>>

Re: Best performance in bios for EP45-UD3R

Hmm, nice to see you are getting somewhere. Now you should/can save both of those as profiles and work on them when you have time. If you did not know, F11 on the MAIN page is save, and F12 is load profiles

About your 4Ghz, did you try 2.40B instead of 2.00B? The strap setting depends on the MCH Voltage and tRD (Static tRead value) D is normally more stable over 400 FSB, but if 2.66 wont boot for you then you will need to try more and less MCH Voltage until it will. it can get tricky

As for which is better, only you can say. I would test both in a few benchmarks and see
