i changed my memory so i'll be starting from scratch again

other change is that i'm dual booting win xp x86 and win7 x64 but i'm using win 7 x64 almost exclusively

    the memory: Patriot gamer extreme performance enhance latency 2 x 2gb, ddr 2 pc-6400, 5 5 5 12, stock volt 1.9v Patriot Memory - Products

    here's my cpu-z:

    memset:

i'll update my bios settings tomorrow. any help or suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated.

Just on a quick read thru, you seemed to be doing ok on the original memory, why did you change to the patriot ones?,maybe I missed something in the posts.

Youll probably get some feedback from Chilke again or maybe psycho 101 since they have same family cpu once you get bios settings up again.

Re: Some Guidance on My GA-EP45-DS3L and E7300

Did you test those settings for stability?
How high do you plan to overclock?
My M0 stepping CPU, same as yours, seems to get much hotter than newer CPUs steppings so your CPU cooler may be a bit limiting.
Are all voltages, including DRAM Voltage, set auto?

the stock settings were tested and stable

i was thinking maybe 3.4-3.6 (i've seen different voltage results with the same revision so testing to see if i can get the same without hitting 1.38+ is my goal)

the voltages are as shown as well as 'auto' (i may have forgotten to type 'auto in brackets for some)

edit: i'll do these values again with the updated p45 template. i just found it today so i'll use that as opposed to the previous one i was using.

Re: Some Guidance on My GA-EP45-DS3L and E7300

Does tRD(Static tRead Value) 7 the lowest you could go? I recall I could set it as low as 4 with DDR-800 @ 266FSB CAS 4, so maybe 5 with CAS 5. Of course with higher FSB it will need it higher.

Read this post for recommended stock settings. Run some stress tests to verify they are still stable.

You can then try to get it to 3.33GHz with 333FSB or jump into cold water and go for the 3.4-3.6GHz with 400 FSB.

                Monior core temps with RealTemp/CoreTemp/HWMonitor(CPUID).
core temperatures for prime best be kept below 70c for Prime95/Orthos torture. IBT(IntelBurnTest) temperatures may get 10c+ higher then Prime95.
