Big time noob question ... first of many guys and gals so please be patient. By profession I am a .NET developer setting forth on my first system build.

I purchased this mobo and an E8400 processor with 8GB (2kits) of OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC8500 memory.

I chose this operating system. Will this version of Windows work on this processor?

Thanks to LSDMeASAP for all of the great reading thus far. I'm grateful for the tips on using 8GB of RAM with this mobo.
