It's all about tweaking a getting what you can get out of your processor, memory and board, and video card while staying stable. Looks like you are on the right track. MAXtemp/pwr=72.4C @ 65W. I don't see a problem. 25C, I am not sure about with a non-liquid cooled processor.

        Good Luck and have fun.

Ok,so I just tried to OC my cpu to 4.0Ghz and run orthos for 10 min to see my systems is stable or not and it seems my system works very stable.idle temp shows that core#0 is at 34-37C while core#1 is at 39C.when I run orthos, both of the core's temp rise to 49-51C.and then when I run speedFan,it shows a picture of fire on my core0 and core1 when the temp reach 50C.Is everything ok?I didn run prime95 to test my memory too. After run for around 15min,everything seems ok and stable.so what do you think guys?can anyone please help me?

Did you read the guide? It is for your board >>>

Not trying to not help you, but you have a board that has a very nice guide stickied here and seems like you want to learn so that is a very good place to start.

            Read this as well >>>

Sure I could give you some settings but that would not help you learn anything.

Let me know if you still get no where and I will help you along, but keep in mind you do want to learn so it is best to read as much as you can before you try things.

I read those article and yeah I OC my system with the help of that guide too.But I need people opinion and suggestions too since It will help me to understand more about OC.

There is one thing that I want to ask.
                PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [102]
In your guide, you put 102 on PCI Express Frequency but I did some research and it seems people put 100 on that. What is the difference?

100-105 is fine. The main thing is you want it at 100 manually set, if you leave it in Auto it will get overclocked with your FSB is why that is mentioned.

100 will be fine for you, the only time you need 101-110+ is if you have having major issues at 500+ FSB

If you need some more help, I will post you some suggested settings when I get back tonight.

If you search for your board or a X48-DS4 you will for sure find some settings as I used to post many settings for this board

I saw it from one of thread about X48-DS4 OC and you posted that +0.2V-+0.3V for 4GB RAM right?I'm using OCZ Reaper PC2-8500 1066Mhz with 2x2GB dual channel kit.So do I have to put +0.2v - +0.3v too?coz I'm putting +0.100v for that.

I just tried orthos and prime95 again and it seems my system is still on stable but the temp change from previous temp that I posted. The both of cores' temp raise to 53C when on stress. While on idle,core#0 is at 36-39C and core#1 is at 39C.
Edit:Run OCCT for 2hrs and only 1hrs left and system still stable with 56C on stress.

Can anyone tell me why my vcore1 is 1.28v while my vcore2 is 2.22v?do they have to be same voltage or do they have to be different?
Edit:nvm..forget what I ask..it seems vcore2 is RAM voltage not cpu voltage.

The program you are using is reading the voltages wrong, use something else like everest

If you are using 2.2V on your ram I advise you add a fan directly over it as soon as you can or lower the voltage

Yea, you will need +0.2-0.3 MCH voltage

Try running your ram at only 2.1V (+0.3) 2.2V is just the max you are allowed under warranty not what is needed to run the ram

C1E and EIST leave disabled or your stable overclock will not be stable anymore

I will change my RAM voltage to 2.1v,but do I need to add fan directly to my RAM while I put my ram voltage on 2.1v?Oh,I forgot to mention that I run real temp while I run OCCT and orthos.my real temp showed different temp with OCCT and orthos.real temp showed my cpu's temp is at 51C while on stress and vcore#0 is at 30C and vcore#1 is at 34C while on idle.Which one I should believe?so,I just run everest but I can't find my cpu's temp.Where I can find my cpu's temp?and then when I installed the program, the program tried to install unknown driver that require all my hardware's driver get the signature something.
C1E and EIST leave disabled or your stable overclock will not be stable anymore
yeah,I noticed that when i tried to enabled both of them,my screen freeze so I put them disabled.

No, you dont need a fan at 2.1V, and of course you may not even need the full 2.1V, try 2.0-2.05 as well if you can

CPU Temp and Core Temps are very different. RealTemp shows you Core Temps, and 30/34 Idle and 50's Load is normal so you are fine

In Everest you find CPU, and Core Temps in The computer then sensor section
