Re: GA-EP45-UD3P and 8GB(4x2GB) RAM troubles

    Try zero CPU Skew

    Whats this >>> ????
tRFC....................................: 120 (have tried 56 and 80) 75-85 should be plenty

Are you trying all of the above at once? I mean all those higher values you mentioned you did do them all at once correct?

Single stick tests of this ram are ok?

Zero CPU skew doesn't help. I tried each module individually, and they all passed Memtest. I tried 120 for tRFC because I saw a suggestion in my Google searches to try it. I did try all the higher values all at once. Here are my current settings:

Re: GA-EP45-UD3P and 8GB(4x2GB) RAM troubles

HI mate if you are having issues try turning your cpu clock speed back down to 266mhz X 9 yes it will only run at 2.4 ghz but its a stable starting block...These go steppers are great at overclocking but you need faster ram to get a stable one..if you are using 800mhz ram you will be lucky to get a stable overclock ovr 2.7ghz..your ram is slowing the clock on your cpu down mate!I have just tried bumping my cpu up to 400X 6=2.4 and it auto changed the ram settings to 1200 mhz..not a happy bunny my comp would`nt even boot..lol..I would try lowering the FSB on your cpu and see what happens mate you might be suprised how quick it is on those settings!..hope you get sorted mate..

Thanks for the reply. I have tried running at stock speeds, but I still get errors with 8GB installed. Anything less than 8GB runs stable at 333 MHz x 9.

Does anyone have any more suggestions? If not, I will probably do an RMA to exchange it.

UD3P seems to overvolt the MCH (or at least mine does). Try lowering the MCH voltage. I would try 1.1 or even 1.05. I am running 2X2gb 1066 5-5-5-15 at a MCH voltage of 1.05 when it should be 1.26-1.28. I hope you can get things worked out. Good luck!

Sorry to hear its not sorted mate :(... my only suggestion wud be to take it back to stock speeds and play with the voltages to try and get it stable there :(... it is possible with cheaper ram cos thats what ive got going here... hope u sort it mate... lsd might be able to help more when he is back

Have you tried less and way less VTT? I ask because Vtt Automatically change the MCH Ref voltages. And have you tried 2.00D multi?

As said above also try lower MCH Voltage, P45 is a bit tricky with this as on some straps at certain multi's where alot may be needed even if the ram speed is slower then you would think that would require excess voltage. And then other straps and multi's will only work with less voltage then one would think. So I would say to try different straps and more and less MCH With each, as well as using less VTT
