well i'm back ... hehehe .. decide to start new thread because my ram and everything else is brand new.

first as per your suggestion .. did flash F7a again.

here is my spec. and will post my question at bottom.

have few question.

1- is it ok to use 8 divider instead of 8.5 ? ... this way i can have my front side bus higher for better ram ... ( i test it out in everest and my ram improve alot ) ....
What your take on this ??

2- is divider 400 better than 333 ?? .. because i try for both ...
400- i get my ram 1:1 at 906 ..
333 - i get my ram 5:6 at 1087
i test in Everest ... the speed and latency prety much even.

3- my voltage and temp is pretty low right now ... thinking of going for 4 ...
i know my voltage be close to 1.40 .

with 1.40 in Bios .. in window only 1.36 idle and 1.2960 or 1.3120 load.

You think i should go for it ???
my temp will be only around 37=idle .. load= 58 .. and intell burning or Linx = 67

i'm just runing thru all my normal stress test now ... long long process ..

thanks so much for all your help so far.

Re: EP45-UD3P & Q9500 & 8gig Crucial Ballistix

Yeap you sure can use 8 CPU Multi

333 would be better for a few reasons, the NB timings would be tighter to more data would be put thru faster and you can/should be able to use a lower static tread (Maybe 6-8)

Ya, go for 4Ghz, that all looks very good! You may have to stick to 400MCH to get 4Ghz stable though, but I would try it anyway to compare this to that

333 ... ??? i'm reading and get confuse ..... when i use 333 my static need to be 9 on 1086 ... if use 8 is much better but fail in prime95 blend... ..... 400 i can use 8 everything fail for 7

did you mean to use 2:0b in 333 trap for 906 ????

can you sugest some timing for my current setting ??? .. in 333 trap

** when i go for 4 ... which trap to use ?? or use 471x8= 4.0 ... trap400 = 945 ram ??? because 333 be over 1150 ... just don't want to much voltage on the ram ... right now it run okie .. and i have the antec 1200 with so much air go accross it

oppsss .. forgot ...i run 8 gig so i guess 333 ... i did try 266 yesterday for fun ..but no go

btw .. love this motherboard ... i guess the first one was bad ... now i can change trap and do so much more .. it's just beep and reboot twice and i'm ready to go ..
as of before ... had to take 3 ram out .. then fix then put back .... there is not so much room between video card and ram .... always afraid of bend or even short out some thing

as of now .. running 333 @ 1087 .. prime95 blend stable ...

Let me know how you get along, and if you need more help.

You are confusing me about straps! See this, it will help you know which memory multipliers you can use for what strap. Then FSB x Ram Multi = Ram speed/freq >>

This way you can use Auto for MCH and just choose your memory multi by letter if you like

my confusion is .... 2.0B and 2.0D .... but from your post ... 333 trap is good for me

when i go to 4... will use 371 x 2.40B and that make my ram 1130 ....
anysugestion or i need to watch for in voltage and ram timing ??? what do i need to loosing up to go higher ???

2.00B and 2.00D would give the same exact ram speed. Above 400 FSB will make 333 strap options very unstable normally so you may need to stick with the 400/D strap and it's memory multi's

TO go higher you will need to maybe use 400/D strap and loosen up Static Tread, and of course voltages will need adjustment again

my turn to get help .... funny thing ... i flash to F7a ... so ofcourse every thing start all over again ... but here is my problem .... when i was at F5 .. this setting work .. i belive prime blend atleast 6 hours before i stop and flash bios. ... and now my ram seem can't get stable .. what should i change ???
do i change to 5-5-5-15 ??? or change static read to 10 ??? ... this will get my latency high .. i was getting 58 - 60 on latency..

the bold in the bottom is what i change to now and stil not working right .. i'm going to test out 10 now ...

or should i go back to F5 ???

I thought the latest BIOs for the EP45-UDP3 was F5.

i think i figure it out ... i might have hit a FSB hole .... because now i lower to 350 then everything is stable and pass 2 hours prime blend so far... will posta result soon and hope you can help tweak it better...

** question ....
would this be good to use ...

Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.).....: auto

Memory Frequency (Mhz) ..............: 1080

i see there is this option ... is this good ??? i figure this actually 2.4B .. of 333 trap...
this would be same latency as 900 if i can get the 8 Static tRead Value
what do you think which better.

btw. can my ram go 1200 + .... i can try 400 trap with 2.6 = 1170 ... with this what my ram setting would be ?? and is this good also ?

i know it is alot of question ... but i'm just curious ... hehehehehe

Not sure, I would need to see your FSB in the above question to know if it was ok or not. But likely it is

You would use 555-18 and likely a bit higher advanced timings is all, maybe more Voltage?
