  • Overclocking an E6300 on a GA EP35C-DS3R

    Hi Guys

Newbie to overclocking here and, try as I might, I cannot get my E6300 to get over 2.8ghz on my Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R MOBO.

    I'm running it at:
    FSB: 400
    PCI-E: 100
    Mem: 2.5
    Mem V: +.4
    MCH V: +.2
    CPU V: 1.4
    Mem timing: 5-5-5-15

Can anybody with the same setup tell me if they have achieved greater speeds than 2.8ghz and, if so, with what settings?

    Many thanks

    Martin

My memory is: http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...pc_4gb_edition and I have 4gb.

Here's my BIOS setting as requested. Hope you can help.

At the settings below I can get a stable 2.8ghz but would like to get up over 3.0 if possible.

        Many thanks.

Here try this, and of course you may need more CPU voltage. What Drop do you see at 1.4 set in the BIOS to what you get in windows? >>>>

Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Auto or Fast]
          CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [7]
Fine Clock Ratio ____________Not in my BIOS
          CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
          CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [425]
          PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
          C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40B or D] =1020
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

          Performance Enhance = [Standard]

          CAS Latency Time________________ 5
          Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________ 5
          Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______5
          Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 15/18

          ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________3-4
Rank Write to READ Delay________ 3-6
          Write to Precharge Delay_________ 4-6
          Refresh to ACT Delay______________ 52-62
          Read to Precharge Delay__________ 3-6
          Static tRead Value_______________ 7-10
Static tRead Phase Adjust________ auto << Always Auto

          System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.400V] << Try 2.1 but you may need the full 2.2 to run full speed, not sure as I have not used these. But 2.2 is only the warrantied amount not what is always needed

          PCI-E OverVoltage Control_ [normal]
FSB OverVoltage Control___ [normal] +.1 for stability
          (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.2V] << May need .25-.3

Hi and sorry for the delay in replying.

Thanks for the settings but, alas, they appear not to be working. Perhaps the 2.8 clock is as far as this chip will go for me.

Could be what is your load temps at 2.8 and what voltage do you use for it, and what did you try to use for 3Ghz? May just need a bit more
