So far the X670E AORUS Master - F8? bios has been terrible compared to the F8H beta which also wasn't great, but less bad than this. Freeze during boot, sound glitches and memory instability are all issues.

I was surprised to see a bios update ( F8h) for my Z590 Aorus Elite AX Mobo after a year and noted that F8a had also been removed from the GB Support Site. I couldn't find any posts about the new Bios but I decided to try it as I had intermittent USB disconnects with my Sandisk V2 2TB ext. HDD, and I was hoping along with the Thunderbolt compatibility fix that this was fixed for USB-C as well, along with a moderation in Auto Voltage Levels especially on the CPU even at idle, and so far that seems to be better, :) ..... need more time for the USB-C fix to show if it is better or not though.
I thought I'd post as I could not find any User posts etc on the new Bios upgrade method efiflash SOP_Melock . I usually use Flashback but the PDF that comes with the bios seemed to me, to be suggesting a ME Firmware/unlock was needed before the Main bios was upgraded, and while the Instructions do work they are a bit "vague" and likely written by someone who has done it a 1000 times. The EFI Mode boot works just fine once you set the Bios to Boot from the Flash Drive, however the Code is poorly written and the screen just scrolls to the very end making it impossible to "confirm the Drive" as instructed, that the new Bios is on, as you can't scroll-up etc either. In my case I had 33 BLK entries alone, so knowing some DOS came in handy as entering FS0: and hitting <enter> turned out just to be a change to that Drive and the Dos command dir <enter> will show you what is in that drive......so I eventually found my flash drive at FS8: and the needed file for the next stage, Flash.nsh .
This stage went fine, except again it is automated and gives you no time to read anything , there is no pause and a continue button, it just auto-rebooted into the next stage which was the actual Bios Flash, which took maybe 3 minutes. It once again doesn't wait ( 5 secs) then auto reboots again...... this I figured would take 2-3 mins for memory retraining etc, so I knew to be patient, however it just restarted and sat there, no reboots, no bios screen etc. After about 10 mins I figured something was up and removed the Flash Drive, which didn't help. So after 20mins I help my finger on the POWER button until it shut down , knowing I might need to try Flashback now, however on restarting the PC it attempted to boot to Windows, I was expecting it to boot to the Bios automatically , so hadn't hit DEL on Boot, it of course crashed ( Bluescreen ) as I hadn't set the Drives to RST ( not everyone will need to do that) or the RAM Voltage or XMP yet.
Once I set Optimised Defaults and then my Own Settings for the Ram and Drives , everything went as expected and it booted back into Windows.
Was the efiflash SOP_Melock flash method needed? I don't know, perhaps I could of just used Flashback as usual, but it all went well in the end :)
Gigabyte really needs to document this method better and write better Code for the EFI Mode Boot so it is User friendly this is it for instructions.......
( images in PDF not shown below)
BIOS Flash SOP
1. Download the BIOS file from the GIGABYTE website and unzip it to the root directory of
the bootable USB flash drive
2. Use the USB flash drive to boot the system in EFI shell mode.
3. In EFI shell mode, your screen will look like the following figure. First, please confirm
which disk code is the USB flash drive you want to use. Here we take FS0 as an
example.
4. Please key in "FS0:" and press [Enter]
The instructions are shown in red: Shell> FS0:
5. Please key in "Flash.nsh" to execute the Batch file and press [Enter]
The instructions are shown in red:FS0:\> flash.nsh
6. After that, the BIOS status will be confirmed, and the system will reboot while the
process is completed
7. Do not remove the USB flash drive. After the system restarts, the BIOS update process
will begin (the screen is as follows). Please wait patiently. After the update is completed,
the system will restart to complete the entire process.

Help needed.
I have reset the bios and updated to the latest f15 on b550 aorus pro v1. But PBO is not working no matter if the limits are motherboard or manually set, im stuck at stock power levels. Ive had this exact same issue before and the solution was to disable the memory encryption options in bios (TSME / SME) and probably some other thing too that i forgot. Now i have disabled TSME but i cant find or remember the other settings. Please tell me how to get pbo to work from reset bios.
