      Yes a CPU can go bad, or even come to you bad. But I doubt that is it really

      Yes, Pentium 4 should work fine on a P35 board. Ya, that 300W PSU may not work at all anyway.

      You may have to RMA your board, it is starting to sound like a bad board maybe?

        Right took the cpu cooler off and guess what the cpu has melted into the motherboard dont know how as it wasnt even starting

        Can i still RMA it?

          Not sure about a RMA, lets see some pics of the socket, and the bottom of the board and CPU

                Sorry for the confusion the chip and board are fine

                The guy who was looking at it thought it had melted into the board but it hadnt

                I just tried 1 stick of different ram and everything fired up

                Job done

                  Ahh, Nice to see different ram got you going! Sounds like you need to fire that guy then if he thought a CPU melted into the board? HAHA I thought that sounded kinda strange
