Kinda new to overclocking , but i do have some experience. I have ep45-ds3r, e8500 processor, 2gb cellshock 1000 4-4-4-12 ddr-2 , i want to know why i cant get over 580 fsb, no matter what i try i cant get any higher. I know my cpu is not limiting me, my ddr-2 will run 1275, 5-5-5-15, no problem, is it just a max for this board ?, i need some help, i want to hit 600, and im happy, somebody who has this board that has good overclocking experience help me ?

you check your bios, and fill it manually, I/E if in bios your multi is set to 8, fill in the form "8".

          Re: ep45-ds3r overclock

All you do is highlight/copy/paste what I put above, and then enter your settings you are using.

Yes that board will run 4x1GB, people you see say that just apparently do not know how to set their settings right. That would apply to any board using 4x1

            Re: ep45-ds3r overclock

Ok i will copy and paste my settings. I just ordered xteam ddr2 1040 thats 1300 mghz , there 2+1gb sticks, but i want to run 4+1gb sticks of this memory, i know i wont be able to overclock it as well with all 4 slots full, but it runs stock at 1300 so who needs to. Just dont want to buy 4 sticks and they dont work, so im waiting for the 2 sticks get that running then add 2 more. Ok let me post my settings for you, its probally im guessing memory related why i cant hit 600fsb, but thats why im here cause i dont know.

                Re: ep45-ds3r overclock

You ordered more ram? Is it the exact same as you have? If not you will likely have huge issues

Ahh, no wonder you are having issues. All that on Auto is a Huge problem. Set your PCI Express to 100 NOW, I am surprised you have not corrupted your disk at that FSB with PCI E in Auto

i will try those setting you suggested. Yes im ordering 2 more of the same memory sticks. Right now im rund 2gb of cellshock ddr2 1000 4-4-4-15. Very good memory overclocks great, but the xtreem team ddr2 pc 1040 will run even higher, so im going to put the 2 gigs of xtreem team in first, see how high i can get them and how they work on my board, and then go for 2 more sticks, thanks for all your help and knowlege.

You may need more vcore, vtt and MCH already as well for a high FSB. You will get there likely, it will just take you some time
