  • EP45-DS3L - Temp readings

I am getting different temperature readings, depending on which program I use to view temperature. I have an Intel E8500 dual core CPU. All of these readings are at idle, I believe.

    Core 0 and Core 1:
    Speed Fan: 45
    Core Temp: 50 (Tjmax: 105)
    HW Monitor: 45
    Real Temp: 40 (Tjmax: 55)

    Why are these readings different?

    Also, HW Monitor shows:
    Temp0: 32
    Temp1: 19
    HDD: 27

Are those good readings, or too hot or too cold?

    Re: EP45-DS3L - Temp readings

It is because of your TjMax setting. Be sure you have the latest of both programs. Coretemp and RealTemp, HW Monitor is just not P45/45nm ready

Use latest Coretemp, it should by default have the correct TjMax for your CPU, which is 100C >>>
    Core Temp

RealTemp you will have to likely set TjMax to 100C, and calibrate it. Calibration is a MUST!!! This is the best App I believe once calibrated correctly >>>

Good Idle temps for a 45Nm CPU are 30-40, depending on your Heatsink and ambient
